Bidwell
Advisors
provides a range of real estate consulting
services to non-profit organizations and
private real estate owners. Specializing in
charitable gifts of real estate, the firm is
committed to developing creative real estate
solutions that:
-
Allow
non-profit organizations to access a
largely untapped source of financial
support -- the enormous wealth tied up in
the real estate holdings of families and
individuals.
-
Provide
private property owners with creative
approaches to their real estate issues,
often helping them to attain charitable
and conservation outcomes they didn’t
realize were possible.
-
Whenever
possible, accomplish both of these
objectives by creatively linking the
planning objectives of private property
owners with the financial needs of
non-profit organizations.
-
Provide
non-profits with property disposition
assistance, site acquisition help,
feasibility studies, and related real
estate consulting services.
The firm
operates nationally, concentrating in the
Northeast.
Principal
Dennis Bidwell
Dennis
Bidwell is the principal of
Bidwell
Advisors. With over twenty-five years of
real estate and non-profit management
experience, Dennis draws on his extensive
track record of working with conservation
and preservation organizations, colleges and
universities, families and their
professional advisors, government agencies,
financial institutions, private foundations,
and community based housing, educational and
human services organizations. This
experience is supplemented by decades of
volunteerism and civic activity, serving on
the boards of numerous non-profit
organizations and devoting countless hours
to organizing community projects and
political campaigns.
Excellence & Teamwork
When not
making connections between non-profits and
private property owners, Dennis is often
found on the Connecticut River, either
rowing or supporting young Northampton High
School rowers. He and his daughter, Kelly,
founded the high school crew program in
1997, making it the first public high school
crew program in western Massachusetts.
Northampton High Crew is now the largest
sport at the high school.
After
Kelly moved on to row in college, Dennis
helped start an adult rowing program, and
now holds down a seat himself in a men’s
boat that competes in regional regattas. The
importance of rowing to both his family and
himself feeds a passion and dedication to
excellence and teamwork that is reflected in
the work of
Bidwell
Advisors.
